张国荣最近接拍了一个汽水广告,侧闻酬劳高达一百万,那只牌子汽水另外又赞助他的演唱会,费用当然是另议。 : p7 `! K, [9 G# x
我看见他,便说:『发达啦,单是拍一个广告就发达啦,是不是这样?』我竖起一只手指。他嘻嘻笑,并不否认。『东南亚区做的,不单在香港放的呀这个广告,当然要有相当高的酬劳。』

" q4 v  G" R$ k这个广告美国版是由著名红歌手米高积逊拍的,东南亚区则选中张国荣,他好开心,当然,选他表示他在东南亚有代表性。而且,米高积逊也拍过,意味着与这位超级偶像同等级,不开心才怪。  L9 m5 w, N$ [0 K( b
  
1 C6 ?' C6 Z% u! M前几日,他在伊馆跟歌迷有个免费演唱会聚会,一来是见见他们,二来真正原因是要来拍那个汽水广告歌迷对他狂热情况呢! 我逗他:『喂,不如多拍几个广告,拍一个差不多等于一部片酬,又没有那么辛苦。』  『我也想呀,可是没有人这样找我拍。』他笑说,『拍广告有好多合约规条,拍了一个在一段日子便不能拍另外一些广告,不然人家高薪请你就没意义了。』『还是开演唱会最好,一开十几廿场,一千几百万落袋了。』我说。 『别说钱了,税局看得紧呀。』他笑。

IN AMERICA, Pepsi Cola chose Michael Jackson to represent the new generation.  In Hong Kong it was Leslie Cheung Kwok-wing, who is now displaying his own brand of megastar fizz, with 23 sell-out pop concerts at the Coliseum.! [, D2 \3 B' b6 o
Endorsements, first for Konica and recently for Pepsi Cola, have become a profitable sideline for the star.  Cheung said that he was happy with the Pepsi commercial, as the “sexy and romantic” sequence matched his present image.  PepsiCo chose the star for its local advertising campaign on advice from Hong Kong ad agency BBDO, and a representative of the agency said that Cheung was the first and only choice for the new advertisement. 4 Q' s# t6 O5 r. \0 h/ r% ^
“Cheung represents the younger generation.  We asked a lot of kids their opinions before we made the decision to approach Cheung.  We decided that Alan Tam was already over-exposed.”

4 K: P5 t, n- gBut while Wacko Jacko';s contract with PepsiCo is worth a staggering US$10 million (about HK$78 million), Cheung';s is "significantly less than that", according to the company';s regional vice-president, Mr Peter Kendall. & d' c+ ~0 b/ |$ r' J
"As far as we know, this is the first time that any company in Hongkong has teamed up with both a local star and an international megastar," Mr Kendall said yesterday after Cheung signed a 12-month contract with North Asia PepsiCo In­corporated.

The Bad album has produced four hit singles, making Jackson the first artist to have four number one singles from the same album.

The change was made despite the fact that Pepsi';s market share in Hongkong had increased by at least 118 per cent from 1985 during the Pepsi Challenge campaign of JWT.
3 q2 ~2 `1 V6 Z" BThree plants in China are now pumping out 30 million dozen bottles of Pepsi a year. The new generation of music commercials follows the success of the Pepsi Challenge which saw almost 200,000 people in Hongkong compare Pepsi and Coca-cola.   h5 F' G) Q' o: h3 v8 A+ M+ j
Cheung, who the company believes represents the territory';s new generation, said he was eager to take part in the series featuring the world';s superstars.

Now Michael Jackson is back and the company has added local talent like top pop vocalist Anchalee in Thailand, several leading rock bands in the Philippines and now Leslie Cheung in Hongkong. 8 `4 V. Y: J+ g+ P& X
