Late musical superstar Leslie Cheung (張國榮) would have celebrated his 52nd birthday on Friday and to mark the occasion, many of his fans from far and wide made memorial gestures to their immortal idol.

Fans gathered at the Avenue of Stars in Tsimshatsui to share a birthday cake and sing to Leslie, whilst gifts of flowers, fruit baskets, cards and balloons twisted into the letters of his name were left outside the singer's home in Homantin.

A thirty-table celebration Leslie Cheung Fashion Tour 91208 Birthday Party was thrown at the Spotlight Recreation Club in Whampao Garden, which brought together 300 fans to remember Leslie.
